Attachments: medial posterior tibia inferior to soleal line, plantar bases of distal phalanges of lateral 4 digits
Innervation: tibial nerve
Actions: flexes lateral 4 digits and PF ankle, supports longitudinal arch of foot

A

Attachments: posterior fibula and interosseus membrane to base of distal phalanx of great toe
Innervation: tibial nerve
Actions: flexes all joints of great toe, weak PF

A

Attachments: both heads attach distally to posterior calcaneus
lateral head - lateral epicondyle of femur
medial head - popliteal surface above medial epicondyle of femur
