Q

what are the 2 ways to make the most of being alive?

A
  1. Mindfulness - being explicitly aware and in control of every moment. It can help reduce stress, improve memory and creativity. freeing oneself from disturbing and reccuring thoughts. Helps reduce anger and likelihood of depression. However it is not awlays helpful, we need to be carefully consider the situation when we begin to practice this
  2. Flow - immersing yourself in whatever ypu are doing and not having any understanding of the time and things around u. Dropping momentary experince is imp too. Autotelic activities that allow the person enjoyment for their own sake is flow. Losing track of time, lack of ditractability and tremendous concentration and thoughts only concerning activity at hand.
    - Flow is the alignment or balance between the skill level and challenge at hand. If there is imblance ir can lead to anxiety and stress.
    - Drawback: such people arw hard to interact with and maybe poor company
    - loses track of time and gives up concious control of thoughts and activities
