What are the contraindications for using colloid fluids?
- sepsis
- coagulopathy
- renal failure
What are the indications for using hypertonic crystalloid?
- large animal that is hypovolaemic
- cerebral edema
- trauma

- hypernatremia or hyponatremia
- dehydration
- patients vomiting for hours
