Scenario: When AT&T phone is not unlocked yet but ported in, what do you do?

Answer 1

Make sure phone is unlocked first before transaction!! Have them do below. Very straight forward (google how to unlock my AT&T).

If their phone is not paid off, must wait 72 hours (on the dot) before you can submit the unlock request.

Google how to unlock my AT&T phone. Then takes you to unlock your phone page. If phone port has went through they are no longer AT&T.

Question 2

If you don’t get your number ported day of, generally how many days do you have to get things ported over?

Answer 2

Generally 30 days at least or as long as line is active

Question 3

If customer is just testing service with us, what should you do?

Answer 3

Never port over a number if they are just testing us out, it is always a hassle in long run to get them their number back.
