Q

What is Populism? What are its characteristics?

A

A “thin” ideology that sees ‘the people’ as the silent majority which are the image of all virtue and their misrepresentation by the corrupt elites.

Populists present themselves as victims, promote anti-elitism, the national sovereignty and pride, and are homogenous, excluding the elites and foreigners. They should be at the source of all political motivation.
