An area with very few people. (Opposite to densely populated)

Is the pattern of where people live and how populations are spread out.
Positive factors examples.
Close to transport. Rich fertile soil. Good water supply Lots of job opportunities Flat land Moderate climate River mouth at port.
Negative factor examples.
Poor dry soil. Poor water supply Steep slopes (uneven land) Bad environment (remote) No close shops No close transportations Very cold climate / extremely hot climate No jobs/ far from shops, work, essential things
What’s birth rate?
Is the number of births per 1000 of a counties population each year.
Death rate ..
Is the number of deaths per 1000 of a countries population each year.
Natural increase or decrease is..
The difference between the death/birth rate. If the birth rate is higher than the death rate population increasing.
What does a demographer do?
Is a person that studies population data collected at the census.
Why is there a population increase
Because poor countries tend to have a higher population, birth/death rate. Births remain high, though, deaths rates fall by healthcare.
Why is there a steady population?
When birth and death rate stay the same. (Poor countries cannot prevent people from dieing.
