Why did the Sanhedrin plot to take Jesus’ life?

A

People were believing in Jesus and they were afraid the Romans would take away the temple and their nation. Caiaphas disagrees and wants Jesus to succeed.

Why did the Jews demand for Pilate to crucify Jesus? Why was Pilate forced to say yes?

A

The Jews did not have authority to kill Jesus so they used Pilate’s authority to remove him. Pilate had already upsetted the Jews before this event which forced him in a unjust position; if he refused his title would have been removed. Political system is corrupted
