When the Bennetts Cargo Seat Converter is installed, what is important to remeber?
Must not be in an emergency exit row
Cargo must not block emergency aisles or emergency access
Tie down straps must be attached to seat legs or rail fittings, minimum two straps
Passenger may sit in the row directly behind the Converter but not in front
Should a passenger seatbelt or seatback become unserviceable the following procedures must be followed:
Block off passenger seat and placard seat with an “inoperative - do not use” placard or sticker. (found the flight satchel)
Passenger must be relocated and the captain informed
The unserviceable seatbelt or seatbelt must be recorded in the cabin discrepancy log in charge of aircraft your logbook by the captain
Should a baggage restraint device, or overhead compartment or a compartment latch become unserviceable what should be done?
All Cabin baggage, catering/service items still in this area must be re-stowed
If the bin contains emergency equipment, it must be relocated and all crew members advised of the new location
Using the “inoperative – do not use” stickers from this flight satchel , Place one on each side of the bin to hold it closed
The in charge must log it in the cabin discrepancy log, advise the captain and request that it be logged in the aircraft Journey logbook.
Ensure that the emergency equipment relocation is discussed in the oral briefing during a cabin crew change
When should each piece of galley equipment including supplies be stored in their secured position?
For taxi, take off, landing and anytime it exceeds like in-flight turbulence
What must the flight attendant do immediately when a piece of equipment is discovered to be unserviceable?
Report it to the in charge report it to the captain and also recorded on the cabin discrepancy log.
