  • Confirmation that the preflight checks of safety and emergency equipment were completed
  • Review of selected communication, emergency, safety and security procedures
  • Review of recent bulletins that impact each other’s procedures
  • review each crew member’s route knowledge and aircraft experience
  • any additional information necessary for the flight including information respecting unserviceable equipment or abnormalities that may affect passengers

A

The Captain and F/O will complete their briefing and then the captain will conduct a briefing with the entire cabin crew OR the incharge. If the captain briefs the I/C only, the I/C must repeat the briefing to the rest of the cabin crew.

  • Each time cabin crew is assigned to a different aircraft type in the same day.
  • Each time cabin crew is assigned to a different aircraft configuration in the same day.
  • During a cabin crew change on the same aircraft type when an oral briefing has not been received from the departing Incharge on or immediately outside the aircraft.
  • Extended absence from the aircraft for a period of two hours or more.
  • After an aircraft has been left unattended by her flight crew or cabin crew member for a period of time less than two hours, cabin crew must complete a visual inspection ensuring that all emergency equipment is present and accessible. If any item appears out of place for preflight check of all emergency equipment must be completed.
  • In excess of the above should there be any concerns or observations.

  • garbage bag may only be placed inside a lavatory after the descent for landing announcement has been made
  • the lavatory door must be closed and locked to prevent passenger access while being used for storage
  • bags must not be higher than the height of the lavatory
  • be in charge must verify the above in their final walk around
  • bags will then be offloaded by the aircraft service agents
