On lateral aspect of the chest, in the 1st intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to midline, 1 cun inferior to LU 2. Best to locate LU 2 prior to this point. FRONT MU, mtng point of LU & SP
LU 1, transverse oblique
On Antero-lateral aspect of chest, below lateral extremity of clavicle, 6 cun lateral to midline, center of hollow of delto-pectoral triangle
LU 2, transverse oblique
Antero-lateral aspect of upper arm, 3 cun inferior to axillary fold/ 6 cun superior to LU 5, depression btwn lateral border of biceps brachii & shaft of humerus
LU 3, perp
Antero-lateral aspect of upper arm, 4 cun inferior to axillary fold/ 5 cun superior to LU-5, depression btwn lateral border of biceps brachii muscle
LU 4, perp
On cubital crease of the elbow, in depression at the radial side of the tendon of biceps brachii, HE-SEA point, Water point, Son point
LU 5, perp
On flexor aspect of forearm, 7 cun proximal to LU 9, XI-CLEFT point
LU 6, perp or oblique
On radial aspect of the forearm, approx 1.5 cun to L.I. 5, proximal to radial styloid process LUO point, CONFLUENT OF CONCEPTION REN, COMMAND POINT H/N, EXIT POINT
LU 7, Transverse oblique only, avoid cephalic vein
Above the wrist, 1 cun proximal to LU 9 at base of styloid process of the radius & radial side of radial artery. JING-RIVER, Metal point, horary point
LU 8, perp or oblique
At wrist joint, in depression btwn radial artery & tendon of abductor pollicis longus. SHU-STREAM, INFLUENTIAL of Vessels, Earth point, Mother point
LU 9, perp
On thenar eminence of the hand, midpoint btwn shaft of 1st metacarpal bone and the thenar muscle, YING-SPRING, Fire point
LU 10, perp
On extensor aspect of thumb, at junction of radial side of nail border and base of nail, JING-WELL, Wood point,
LU 11, perp or oblique or prick to bleed
