Black air
It was dark, so the air is called black
Spiders walk my skin.
He felt as though spiders were walking on him.
Pinching my breath
His fear made him breathless
Startled hair
The poets hair stood up straight because he was afraid
Fists clenched
He closed his hand tightly into fists
Making my own peace
Accepting the night as it was
Unheeded
Neglected ignored
Stealthily
Slyly so that no one could see or hear
Blackened
Made black
Underbrush
Bushes and small trees, growing under the tall trees
Quickened
The fire spread quickly due to the breeze
How did the fire start?
Someone dropped a burning match
Where did the fire start and what path did it follow?
From grass underbrush, and then to trees, the fire caught on so stealthily that no one got to know where it started.
What did the fire do to the trees?
The fire left the trees blackened and dead.
What did the second person do to start a forest fire?
The second person build a campfire, but failed to put it out.
