Lung squashed towards hilum

A
Pleural space black
No lung markings
White mass - Squashed lung moved towards hilum
Mediastinum displaced to non affected side
Lung border can be seen without lung tissue

A
Quiet over pneumothorax

What are the causes of Pneumothorax?
A
- fast growth particularly in young men
- ‘blebs’ - smokers%
- trauma, surgery, insertion of line
- barotrauma with high pressure positive pressure devices
- Bullard in emphysema
