how is pneumonia treated
curb 0-1 - amoxacilin
or clarithromycin or doxacycline if allergic to penicillin
5days
curb 2 - hospital therapy
amoxacillin and clarithromycin
levofloxacin
5-7 days
curb 3-5 - ITU admission
same as above or cotrimoxazole
7-10days
Consider route: IV or oral Supportive management: Oxygen, fluids, Antipyretics, NSAIDS Intubation and ventilation. Antipyretics eg Paracetemol, ibuprofen
children - amoxacillin and macrolides
