Confirm High Voltage Presence light illuminated

Track access if required, cab unattended
Inspect/listen for MR air leaks and operation of compressors
What do you do when inspecting MR low pressure and compressors are not running?
Train STABLE
If compressors don’t re-start train DISABLED
What do yo do if there is a MR leak under CENTRE MOTORS?
Isolate MR end cocks
Drain Aux. Res.
Manually release SPBs
Book as per FMP
What do you do if there is a MR leak under any other car?
Attempt to plug leak???
Declare train DISABLED
Train to be rescued from advance if fault on Leading motor or trailer
Train to be rescued from rear if fault is on Trailing motor or trailer
What faults can occur with Trip?
Fails to lower
Fails to raise
Fails to reset
What do you do if Trip fails to lower?
TEC
Track access
Modified cab unattended
Check Trip Isolating Cock in Aux. Pneumatic Panel - if closed, open it
- if Open - place Trip Cock switch to raised position and operate on secondary circuit and press Auto-Vigilance Bypass button as required
What do you do if Trip fails to Raise?
When changing ends and Trip fails to raise in rear cab
Track access
modified cab unattended
Isolate Trip Cock Active IC in Aux. Pneumatic Panel
Secure Trip in raised position by any means necessary
What do you do if Trip fails to Reset?
Ensure no other fault lights illuminated (if they are act accordingly)

Modified Cab unattended
Manually Reset Trip - hit button with stick
- if sets continue normal operation
- if not set check Trip Cock IC in Aux. Pneumatic panel
- If closed, open it and attempt to reset
- If open place Trip switch to raised position, operate one secondary circuit and press Auto vigilance Bypass button as required
What do you do if Whistle doesn’t sound?
Operate whistle lever several times
Inspect both Low and High Tone ICs in A side equipment cabinet
If isolated place to normal
If normal
- Track access
- modified cab unattended
- inspect whistle IC in Aux. Pneumatic Panel
If not rectified run as per requirements for failed whistle
What do yo do if whistle sounds continuously?
Operate lever several times
If LOW tone continuous isolate LOW IC
If HIGH tone continuous isolate HIGH IC
If whistle continues to sound isolate Whistle IC in Aux. Pneumatic Panel
What are operational requirements for running with failed whistle?
Re-release doors for passengers
Travel at Reduced speed Cautiously
Do not exceed 15kmh through yards, stations or near track workers
Flash high beams when approaching LVLX or any employees
