A

Transudate = systemic cause (thin, water, straw color)

Exudate = local cause (purulent)

neoplasm, infection, PE

Percutaneous drainage into vacuutainers

Indication: diagnostic, treatment, symptom relief

C/I: bleeding diathesis, cellulitis at insertion site, time

Risk of PTX, infection, bleeding
