  • Developer gets initial advice from planning officers
  • Developer submits planning application to local planning authority
  • Application published on planning register
  • Council consults with parish/town council, notified immediate neighbours
  • Planning consultation, developer may hold public exhibition and public sends comments to planning authority
  • Planning officers write recommendations to planning committee
  • Planning committee making decision
  • Applicant has option to appeal if refused, or can change proposal and submit new allocation
