Pilot Monitoring Preflight flow

Move from top to bottom

Overhead panel

• everything out, extinguished, guarded, 12 o’clock
  
  • exceptions:
    
    • Fwd cargo air - low heat
    • APU - off, if using ground power
    • lighting knobs as desired
  • seat belts sign - on, LOGO and Nav lights - On

Main instrument panel

• FCP - Speed - FMS, HDG - departure, XFR - PF, ALT - FT/set for departure
• ISI - no flags, set altimeter and crosscheck
• Landing gear panel - NOSE STEER - OFF, AUTOBRAKE-RTO

Pedestal

• THRUST LEVERS - IDLE, Engine switches- OFF
• Rudder trim - centered/green (FFOD - test left then centered)
• reversion switch panel - normal
• spoilers - RET, flaps - 0, ALTN FLAP - NORM
• Observer ACP - set as desired, CAB transmit indicator extinguished
• FDARS (FFOD - door test)
• Ice det (FFOD)
• observer oxygen mask test (FFOD)
