A

A deliberately structured organization comprised of SFODA members (likely augmented by interagency and other skilled personnel) designed to infiltrate a designated area to conduct PE activities and assess to the potential to conduct UW ISO US objectives.

If favorable; PT coordinates for LU with follow-on SF teams and supplies.

A

Complete and update the area assessment ISO expanding understanding of the OE.

Focus on the human terrain analysis both within and outside of the resistance to understand the degree of support for the resistance/UW effort

A

Indirect support (through a coalition partner or at a third-country location, normally limited to logistical aid and training, restrictive environment)

Direct support (expands support to logistics, training, advise and assist, may include advisors in sanctuaries or insurgent-controlled areas not in direct combat).

A

Refine area studies IOT further ID further ID factors affecting civil infrastructures within the UW operational area. (CA liaison w/ civil (shadow gov. vs gov in exile)

Conduct civil recon. and assessments of critical infrastructures (targeting and development)

CA use existing engagement programs as access platforms to civil information data, personal/ professional relationship

Immediate - Initial Assessment?

A

Things essential to the SFOD-A immediately following infiltration. Must be satisfied as soon as possible upon arriving in the JSOA

1) Location and orientation
2) Physical conditions
3) Overall security to include the immediate area, attitude of the local populace, local enemy situation, status of the local resistance element.
