Describe the parts of a neuron
- Cell body - contains the nucleus
- Dendrites - structures that connect the cell body to other neurons to receive signals
- Axon - the tail of the neuron that is covered in an insulating sheath, transmitting signals
- Axon terminals
- Synapses - structures that convert electrical impulses into chemical signals and vise versa

What makes up the CNS
Brain and spinal cord

The nerves that branch off from the spinal cord and extend to all the body

Get info from other neurons and send commands to organs

Found in the CNS, it connects neurons to other neurons to transmit info

Carries info from sensory to CNS

Carries info from CNS to motor
Effect - to be changed
Sensory division
Brings info from PNS (sensory) to CNS
Motor division
Brings info from CNS to PNS (motors)

Contains motor and sensory neurons
Involved in conscious activities
Autonomic system
Neurons that connect the CNS to the internal organs
Involved in unconscious activities
