Q

What happens to acceleration in a circular moving object

A

Due to the fact that acceleration = change in velocity/ time, as the velocity is always changing, the object is constantly accelerating.

Q

When a ball is flung from orbit where does it travel

A

90 degrees to the to the radius. The same direction it was moving.

6
Q

How is the centripetal force affected mass?

A

Increased mass increases the resultant force because the weight is therefore larger and therefore the resultant force is bigger.

7
Q

How is the centripetal force affected speed?

A

With more speed the centripetal force increases

8
Q

How is the centripetal force affected radius?

A

The larger the radius, the smaller the centripetal force due to less tension.

Q

How inertial mass is the measurement of difficulty to change the velocity of an object.

A

M=f/a, with F being the resultant force, it shows how much the object will accelerate by. When force is doubled, so is acceleration. The mass shows the proportionality. With more mass in an object would need a greater force to be moved.
