A

gamma rays

17
Q

what of the seven waves has the longest wavelength, but the shortest frequency?

A

radio waves

19
Q

how can electromagnetic waves be produced?

A

a change in atoms or nuclei can produce an electromagnetic wave

20
Q

out of all EM waves on the spectrum, which carries the most energy?

A

gamma rays carry the most amount of energy

Q

RIPPLE TANK REQUIRED PRACTICAL:

A

-in a shallow tray of water place a vibrating bar connected to a power pack
-place a sheet of paper underneath the tank, and shine a light from above
-place a ruler next to the sheet of paper and freeze the image of the wave to find the wavelength
-place a timer next to the paper and count how many waves pass a point to find the frequency. divide it by 10
-to find wave speed use the equation
wave speed = frequency x wavelength
