a complete state of mental, physical and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity
what is the definition of fitness
the ability to meet the demands of the environment
what is the definition of cardiovascular endurance
the ability of the heart and lungs to supply oxygen to the working muscles
what is the definition of flexibility
the amount of movement possible at a joint
what is the definition of strength
the ability to overcome a resistance, it requires a force to be applied
what is the definition of muscular endurance
the ability for a muscle group to undergo repeated contractions, without fatigue
what is the definition of agility
the ability of the body to change direction quickly whilst maintaining control
what is the definition of balance
the bodies ability to maintain its centre of mass above the base of support
what is the definition of co-ordination
the bodies ability to move two or more body parts smoothly at the same time

the ability to do strength performances quickly

1. measure 20m between two cones
2. run between the cones for as long as possible
3. should get to each cone in time with the audio (bleep)

1. sit in pike position with soles of feet flat against the box
2. stretch hands flat on top of the box and measure where fingertips are
