What is photoionisation?
A
Chlorophyll absorbs light boosting the energy of electrons raising up an energy level as they are excited. Then they leave the chlorophyll making it ionised

How is ATP produced?
A
Protons are pumped from the stroma using protein carriers in the thylakoid. Energy from the electron transport chain is used to move protons into thylakoid membrane gaps. H+ are also released into the space by photolysis. They flow out through ATP synthase making ATP

What is Photolysis of water
A
When water splits to give protons to the chlorophyll molecule. Water= protons, electrons and oxygen
