A

Influenced by the six-day war, Jewish/Arab political representation, represented by domestic political elites, not PLO, Israeli - Arabs consolidation as a national and regional minority, renewed contact with Palestinians in WB and Gaza (spurring return to Palestinian roots), independent political activism through communist party

The peace process in the 1990’s recognized the PLO and established the PA, electoral shift to Arab parties resulting in organizational fragmentation of PAI representation, proposals to accommodate the PAI as Indigenous minority, challenging Israel’s ethnicity regime
