A
Forced expiratory volume in 1 second. Measure of flow rate.

A
Forced vital capacity. Volume inhaled and exhaled. Air you can move. Can compare to norm for age, height, race, gender.

A
If < 0.7 sign obstructive disease. Can’t blow out quickly compared to total air blowing out.

A
Small airways not effort dependent.
