16
Q

What does overfilling the fuel tank cause?

A

Cause pressure to drop rapidly.

17
Q

Right and left gauges?

A

Left indicates the amount of pressure being derived to the torch,
The right gauge indicates the amount of pressure inside the bottle.

18
Q

Before light up?

A

Depress the high pressure oxygen trigger to purge the system.

19
Q

Light up; 3 control surfaces to activate….

A

Recommended sequence:
1/2 turn, purge, 1/2 turn

20
Q

Sequence order?

A

1) pre-heat oxygen know 1/2 turn
2) high pressure trigger: purge 3-5 sec
3) fuel control knob 1/2 turn

21
Q

Next after sequence order?

A

Rest tip directly on steel at 45 degree angle for 5-10 sec. Make no flame adjustments.

22
Q

How to run it?

A

Run hot rich (too lean overheat the head) desired setting 3/16 “ dark blue core

23
Q

Shutdown ops?

A

Close the fuel know, purge tech for 3-5 sec, close preheat oxygen.

24
Q

After torch shutdown?

A

Close tank fuel valve,
close oxygen bottle valve,
relieve pressure in the line by depressing high pressure oxygen trigger.

25
Q

Storage shutdown?

A

Work from the torch to the fuel tank removing any fuel left in the hose.

26
Q

Fuel system storage?

A

Never store any fuel system in an airtight container or compartment.
Petrogen tanks meets requirement for flammable liquid storage containers. Fuel will remain effective for 2-3 months when stored in the system.

27
Q

Ready levels:

A

1) Used when cutting operations are to be initiated in the shortest amount of time (pressurizes system)
2) Intermittent (Not under pressure)
3)Prolonged periods ( Everything disconnected and empty)

28
Q

Cutting:

A

Coupling distance is the distance between the tip and the material..1/4, 1/2
Steel is the fuel: BTU generated by the steel produce the majority of the overall energy

29
Q

Advanced Techniques

A

V-Cut
Hole Punching
Layer Cutting
Gap Cutting

30
Q

V-Cut

A

Used to grab steel from the top most layer of the stack to fuel the layers beneath

31
Q

Hole Punching

A

Maintain 1/4 coupling distance and increases to 1/2, move the torch 1/4 or 1/2” in to the left, right or back. Failure to maintain proper technique could result in overheating. Indications could be tip nut becoming loose and leaking around the tip nut due to melted o ring.

32
Q

Layer Cutting

A

When cutting layers, it may be necessary to increase on tip size

33
Q

Gap Cutting

A

Same as layer cutting. Maintain position until the burning of top layers passed the air gap.

34
Q

Tip maintenance

A

Cleaner tip, clean cut
