What are some duties & tasks of a Personnel Officer (PersO)?
- Supervises admin office in matters pertaining to personnel admin.

- Advises Marines on personal affairs, rights, benefits, & privileges accrued as a member of the US Armed Forces.

What is the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF)?
Permanent record of a Marine’s career.
Who is responsible for the completeness & accuracy of the OMPF?
The individual Marine.
What are the 5 sections of the OMPF?

What are the sections of the service folder?
- Contract information
- Discharge documents
- Reserve documents

- Fitness reports
- Standard addendum pages for all Sgt’s & above
- Memoranda from CMC (MMSB)
What are the sections of the field folder SRB/OQR?
- Documents from previous SRB/OQR for Marines with broken service.
- Partial listing of documents & standard pages suitable for inclusion in the OMPF.
What are the sections of the health folder?
Not maintained unless a Marine has broken service ending prior to 1994 or is presently on temporary disability retired list (TDRL).
Where are health/dental records sent upon discharge?
Dept of Veteran Affairs
What is the Platoon Commander’s Notebook?
Informal documentation that assists the Plt Cmdr in the leadership, counseling & development of his/her Marines.
How is the SRB/OQR divided?
- Standard pages on the right side.

What are the 3 purposes of the SRB/OQR
- To record significant events, duties, and other pertinent information for historical purposes.
- To assist local or immediate commanders in making decisions concerning assignments, promotions, and eligibility for attending formal schools or overseas duty.
- To protect the privacy of individual Marines by consolidating information and limiting access to this information to personnel in the chain of command.
Who exercises physical control & responsibility for the care & maintenance of the SRB/OQR?
The CO
What may a standard page (right side) consist of?
- Consist of more than one page.

What may a document page (left side) consist of?
- Superseded standard pages.

Who determines the order of the document side of the SRB/OQR?
The local command.

What must be added if a Marine refuses to acknowledge an adverse/derogatory entry?
“Marine refuses to acknowledge this entry”
Can a Marine make a rebuttal statement if they refuse acknowledgement?
No.
Who will sign the verification counter-entry?
The CO.
‘Unit commander’ is defined as what?
The company, batter, or squadron commander or their equivalent (OIC/I-I).
What date is entered on the counseling?
The date the CO actually counsels the individual Marine.
Where must a photocopy be sent to?
CMC (MMSB-20)
How many days of leave are earned each month?
2.5 days
How many days of accrued leave are Marines allowed to have & when will it be taken away?
75 days. October 1st of each FY.
When can advanced leave be granted?
When the Marine uses more leave then they have & they have enough time to cover the deficiency.
What date is used to determine the maximum leave accrual?
The ECC.
How many days can a Marine sell back during their career?
60 days.
What are some capabilities of myPay?
