What are some duties & tasks of a Personnel Officer (PersO)?
- Supervises admin office in matters pertaining to personnel admin.

- Advises Marines on personal affairs, rights, benefits, & privileges accrued as a member of the US Armed Forces.

Permanent record of a Marine’s career.
Who is responsible for the completeness & accuracy of the OMPF?
The individual Marine.

What are the sections of the service folder?
- Contract information
- Discharge documents

- Civilan & military education

- Other material reflecting significant personal achievement or adversity
What are the sections of the performance folder?
- Fitness reports
- Standard addendum pages for all Sgt’s & above
- Memoranda from CMC (MMSB)
What are the sections of the field folder SRB/OQR?
- Documents from previous SRB/OQR for Marines with broken service.
- Partial listing of documents & standard pages suitable for inclusion in the OMPF.
What are the sections of the health folder?
Not maintained unless a Marine has broken service ending prior to 1994 or is presently on temporary disability retired list (TDRL).

What is the Platoon Commander’s Notebook?
Informal documentation that assists the Plt Cmdr in the leadership, counseling & development of his/her Marines.
How is the SRB/OQR divided?
- Standard pages on the right side.

What are the 3 purposes of the SRB/OQR
- To record significant events, duties, and other pertinent information for historical purposes.
- To assist local or immediate commanders in making decisions concerning assignments, promotions, and eligibility for attending formal schools or overseas duty.
- To protect the privacy of individual Marines by consolidating information and limiting access to this information to personnel in the chain of command.
