Openness
Linked to creativity m,adaptability to hangs ,increased flexibility to job demands
Low openness may help consistency
Low-uncreative, conventional, curious
High- creative,original,curious
Conscientiousness
High conscientiousness linked to greater effort and persistence; better at planning
Links also often made to leadership and occupational success
Low- late,disorganised, a bit lazy
High - punctual, well organised, hard working
Extraversion
Extraversion linked to social dominance and emotional expressiveness
Leadership often linked with extraversion
But low extraversion can be good for senior leadership ability,owing to the desire to reflect
Low-reserved,passive, quiet
High-active,talkative, affectionate
Agreeableness
Agreeableness associated with compliance and conformity
Likely to get on Better with colleagues
High probably means good team player
Low agreeableness may lead to helpful critical views
Low- critical,suspicious,irritable
High- trusting, lenient,soft natured
Neuroticism
Emotional stability (low neuroticism) may help leadership behaviours
High neuroticism may lead to high vigilance
