Explain the term ‘Trait’
A relatively stable, highly consistent attribute that exerts a widely generalised casual effect on behaviour
What is extroversion?
Someone who seeks social situations and likes excitement but lacks concentration
What is introversion?
Does not like Social interactions and excitement and has good levels of concentration
tendencies of extroverts and introverts in sport
Extroverts usually perform better in team sports whereas introverts usually thrive in individual sports
What is the Hollander’s approach
The idea that we can predict behaviour and our personality is made up of three features, The Core, Typical Responses and Role Related Behaviour
