Q

Example of ways in which you seek to continually improve your performance

A

S - first fundraising role. Look at all my colleugues who had been in fundraising 10+ years and knew I had room to grow.
T - Pro-active with formal CPD or passive and learn on the job.
A - 6 months in I enrolled on conrndel. Part of the programme is the personalised curciulum. I put in my own skill gaps from a personal perspective. My manager inpurted as well from a strategic perspective to help ensure I was prepared to meet the org goals. You can see there is a mix of hard and soft skills.
E.g. confidence and knowledge of fundraising and environment. Presenting.
R - We reviewed and build on these each quarter. At the end my RAG rating had moved up. I’ve actively found opportunities to come out of my comfort zone and speak in front of groups. You can see today that my presenting skills are much better than my first mock. I feel capable to pitch to corporates now. I know what my next steps for development.

Q

Example when you acted on constructive feedback positively

Resilience and test and learn mindset.

A

S - My manager Katy referenced this in my behaviour statement. COTY application unsuccessful at staff vote stage.
T - Sought out feedback. It wasn’t as bad as we thought. Neck to neck for 3rd place, and encouraged to continue to apply as that’s where the current winner was last year.
A - I did an evaluation and put an action plan together for next years application. I know what we need to get in order to do to put ourselves in the best position.
R - This helped me to qualify this opportunity for this year and go into it the new year with confidence in my pipelines and able to make informed improvements to my approaches.
