the PNS is all the nervous tissue outside the CNS .

A
receives information from receptors and conveys the info to the CNS.It also transmits the impulses from the CNS to effector organs.

A
the ANS controls the heart rate ,breathing ,digestion and gland functions.

what are the two branches of the ANS

sympathetic- prepares the body for stress or emergency
parasympathetic-most active under normal ,restful conditions
the two system have opposite effects
