Performance Flashcards
What is the difference between STD and Non-STD engine out procedure?
STD: Straight climb to 1500 feet before turning to the engine failure holding pattern (therefore, accell then turn)
Non-STD: Initial turn before 1500 feet (therefore turn then
accell)
Also any EOP with a speed restriction is Non-STD
Quick Turnaround Limit (FPPM). If landing weight exceeds the max quick turnaround weight, what should you do?
Wait the specified time and check that the wheel thermal plugs have not melted before performing a subsequent T/O
Arresting cable, which carries the limitation and what is it?
If the cable is under tension then no limitation.
If the cable is not under tension then
*max 25kt when traversing the cable.
* T/O run and T/O thrust setting only after the cable
First segment
End of T/O distance until the point where the ldg gear is fully retracted.
(Segment must be positive)
Second segment
Starts at the point where ldg gear is fully retracted and ends at min 800 feet AAL or higher.
(min climb gradient 2.4%)
Third segment
Starts at the end of second segment and ends when flaps fully retracted and final climb speed.
(min climb gradient 1.2%)
Fourth segment
Starts at the end of the third segment, MCT and clean and ends at 1500 feet or higher
(min climb gradient 1.2%)
Landing Dispatch Calc, does it take credit for reverse thrust?
Only contaminated and slippery runways
Landing Enroute Calc, does it take credit for reverse thrust?
NG: No credit for dry runways
Wet, contaminated and slippery take rev thrust credit
MAX: Rev thrust credit for all runway conditions
F15 landing, you go around and missed app has speed restriction below F1 speed. How do you do this?
GA F1 and when below Vref15+15 or min maneuver speed limit bank angle to 15 deg
