Limitations (FCOM and Policy) Flashcards
Runway Slope
+- 2%
Maximum T/O & Ldg Tailwind Component
15 Knots
Maximum T/O & Ldg Altitude
8400 feet
Ground Wind Operating Envelope (MAX)
Crosswinds > 43kt - Limit thrust to normal taxi
Winds > 58kt - Limit thrust to idle except when
setting T/O thrust
Runway < 45m wide- dispatch not allowed for
Nose gear Steering inop
One thrust reverser inop
If possible, don`t divert to an alternate <45m wide in case of which of the following?
- Jammed or restricted flight controls
- Trailing edge flap asymmetry
- LE flap/slat asymmetry
- Loss of system A or B hydraulics
Severe turbulent air penetration speed
Climb: 280 knots/ .76M, whichever is lower
Cruise: Use FMC recommended thrust settings. If the FMC is inoperative, refer to the Unreliable Airspeed page in the Performance–Inflight section of the QRH for approximate N1 settings that maintain near optimum penetration airspeed
Descend: .76 Mach/280/250 knots, whichever is lower. If severe turbulence is encountered at altitudes below 15,000 feet and the airplane gross weight is less than the maximum landing weight, the airplane may be slowed to 250 knots in the clean configuration.
Operation of radios during refueling
Do not operate HF Radios during refueling
Altitude display limits for RVSM in-flight
200 feet between Captain and FO
Altitude display limits for RVSM on ground
Both altimeters and Field Elevation- 75 feet
Difference between CA and FO altimeters
Sea level to 5000 feet: 50ft
5001 feet to 10 000 feet: 60ft
Maximum cabin differential press (relief valves)
9.1 psi
With either one or both engine bleed air switches ON-
Don`t operate the packs in HIGH for T/O, app or Ldg
A/P Minimum altitude use T/O and Ldg
Do not engage below 400ft AGL on T/O
Disengage before 50ft AGL on Ldg (single channel)
LVL CHG restriction
Do not use on final app below 1000` AFE
Engine Ignition must be on for:
- T/O
- Ldg
- operation in heavy rain
- anti-ice operation
