A
- unless population growth slowed, exponential growth would outstrip food supply and lead to ‘checks’
- positive checks= increased DR, war , famine
- negative checks= later marriages

- enabled contraception

between 1960- 2000, 3 billion people have been born and to sustain this, agriculture has doubled

A
- agricultural innovations (green revolution) increased yields, providing a population growth which stimulated the changes to support more people
- with increased population, agricultural production also increases
