What is the function of sensory adaptation?
Sensory adaptation allows us to focus on new information due to is consistent state
How do our expectations, contexts, motivation, and emotions influence our perceptions?
Expectation give us a perseptual set, a set of mental tendencies and assumptions that affects, top-down, what we hear, taste, feel, and see.
What determines our perceptual set?
Through experience we form concepts, or schemas, that organize and interpret unfamiliar information
What are the characteristics of the energy that we see as visible light? What structures in the eye help focus that energy?
