  • Use of NSAIDs

- H. pylori infection

What are the symptoms of PUD?

A
  • Recurrent epigastric pain (May subside with antacids)
  • Nausea/ vomiting
  • Haematemesis
  • Persistent severe pain suggests penetration of ulcer into other organs
  • Back pain suggests penetrating posterior ulcer
