more than 12-30mins after meal
how does the pain happen for duodenal ulcers?
more than 2-3hrs after meal and at night
what are the risk factors?
helicobacter pylori - disrupts the protective mechanisms in the gastric mucosa
NSAIDs - inhibit the prostaglandin synthesis

diagnosis?
history taking
OGD
fecal occult blood test
urea breath test - another test for h-pylori
complications

PPI + clarithromycin + amoxicillin

will u give suppository or lactulose to this paitent?
no it can further stimulate the peristalsis movement can eventually lead to mucosa rupture and peritonitis
client education?
avoid caffeine, alcohol, and high fatty food
eat high in iron food
