- Eko Atlantic properties are pricey
- thousands of people who live in communities along the
coast expect the city will bring displacement
Advantages of using shipping containers instead of normal house building
- shipping containers are cheaper
-shipping container houses are quicker to make. They
take several weeks to make whereas the same concrete
structure would take several months
Advantages of Makoko floating settlements
- floating structure provides teaching facilities in the
Makoko slum district - adapts to the tidal changes and varying water levels
making it invulnerable to flooding and storms
