Increase in wealth of a country
What is environmental development?
Improvement in the use and conservation of the natural world

Improvement to the quality of life for people living in the country

What is sustainable development?
Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs
What is aid?
Transfer of resources from one country to another
What is bilateral aid?
Aid given from one country to another
What is charitable aid?
Aid given by Non-government organisations like oxfam usually on a small scale
What is tied aid?
Aid that is given with ‘strings attached’. Meaning that the receiving country has to give something back
What is multilateral aid?
Aid given by big organisations like the World Bank and IMF and UN. This is funded by many countries
