what is the normal pelvis view and what should be done to the femur for it
AP view standard
-Hips internally rotated 15 degrees
Male vs femal angle under pubic sympysis
male= <90
Female= >90
where is the tear drop distance measured from and what is the max it can be (what is that called) and max bw both sides
- From most medial femoral head t kholers teardrop
Max= 11mm (too big= waldertroms sign)
Max dif= 2mm
what should the femoral neck angle be
120-130 degrees
Normal symphysis pubis width
6-7mm
where does kliens line run from and what should it intersect normally
- From thinnest portion of neck up to head
- Should intersect femoral head
what are the 3 lines on a hip radiograph
Iliofemoral
Shentons (inf to femur to sup obturator foramen)
ilioishial ( med to teardrop)
how should a frog leg hip be pos and what will you be able to see better/worse
- have hip externally rotated + abducted
- can be biateral
- cant see neck as well but will be able to see lesser trochanter
max for retrorectal space
max=2cm
