Roughed-up looking area that holds weight when you sit
Why is the ischial spine important in regards to the female reproductive system?
It narrows the outlet of the pelvis through which the baby passes during birth
What is the colloquial name for the ischium?
Sit down bone
Where is the ischium in relation to the coxal bone?
The most inferior part of the coxal bone
What does the greater sciatic notch allow?
Allows blood vessels and sciatic nerve to pass from the pelvic posterior into the thigh
Where is the pubic in relation to the coxal bone?
Anterior part of the coxal bone
Define: obturator foramen
Opening that allows blood vessels and nerves to pass into the anterior part of the thigh
