Q

Inguinal Ligament TP Tx

A

Flexion of thighs with contralateral thigh crossed over ipsilateral thigh. Ipsilateral lower leg pulled laterally to create slight internal rotation of the hip on the affected side

16
Q

Posterior Lateral Trochanter TP Loc

A

Superolateral aspect of the posterior surface of the greater trochanter

17
Q

Posterior Lateral Trochanter TP Tx

A

pt prone ph same side
• Extension
• Marked external rotation
• Abduction if needed for fine tuning

18
Q

Posterior Lateral Trochanter TP m

A

Probably another piriformis

19
Q

High Ilium Sacroiliac TP Loc

A

2-3 cm lateral to the PSIS, pressing medially toward the PSIS

20
Q

High Ilium Sacroiliac TP Tx

A
  • Hip extension with

* fine tuning in abduction and external rotation

21
Q

High Ilium Sacroiliac TP m

A

• Depending on the depth of palpation, may be related to the gluteus maximus or gluteus medius

22
Q

High Ilium Flare-Out TP Loc

A

• Lateral aspect of the ILA and/or lateral aspect of the coccyx

23
Q

High Ilium Flare-Out TP Tx

A
  • Patient prone
  • Can be done (as in textbook) by standing on opposite side, holding leg of affected side just below the knee and pulling it over the midline
  • Hip extension (of the ipsilateral leg, enough to clear the leg on the unaffected side)
  • Adduction
  • External rotation, slight, on occasion (especially if the TP is located closer to the ILA)
24
Q

High Ilium Flare-Out TP m

A

– Probably sacrospinous or sacrotuberous ligaments

25
Q

Lateral Trochanter TP Loc

A

Along the iliotibial band distal to the greater trochanter

26
Q

Lateral Trochanter TP Tx

A

Moderateabductionof the thigh, slight flexion

27
Q

Lateral Trochanter TP m

A

IT band maybe sensor fascia lata
