What can really help when standing up to peer pressure and why?
To have at least one peer, or friend, who is willing to say no too. This takes a lot of the power out of peer pressure and makes it way easier to resist. It’s great to have friends with values similar to yours who will back you up when you don’t want something.
Why do adults and teachers day choose your friends wisely?
Because if you choose friends that don’t do bad things you probably won’t do these things either. And the same if you have bad friends who do bad stuff your also gonna. Because you wanna feel in.
What must you do if you are faced with peer pressure all alone? (3)
You can simply stay away from peers who pressure you to do the bad stuff you know is wrong. You can tell them no and walk away.
Better yet, find other friends to socialize with.
Why do kids give into peer pressure? (4)
They want to be liked.
They want to fit in.
They worry that other kids might make fun/tease them if they don’t go along with the group.
What does the “everyone is doing it” cause kids to do?
They leave their better judgement, or common sense behind.
How can peer pressure be used in a good way?
Positive peer pressure can be used to pressure bullies into acting better toward other children.
If enough children get together, peers can pressure each other into doing what’s right.

Pressure by a peer group to take certain actions and adopt certain values or otherwise conform in order to be accepted as part of the group.
