If it’s not stored or prepared properly and sometimes poisonous chemicals can get into our food and contaminate it.

What must you do when you get water from a river or dam?
You must first boil and filter the water before you drink it or use it for cooking.
List the steps of boiling/filtering dirty water? (3)
Step 1: Filter the water to get rid of stones and insects.
Step 2: Boil the water for at least 15 minutes to kill germs.
Step 3: Cover the pot and let the water cool down before you drink it .
