High Pulm vasc resistance resulting in right to left shunt through foramen ovale and ductus arteriosis
X-ray: clear lungs with decrease pulmonary vascularity
meconium aspiration CXR
patchy infiltrates, coarse streaking of both lung fields, flattening of diaphragam
risk for RDS

Brochiectasis
development defect of bronchial system. Formation of cysts, cul de sacs, or bronchiomalacia leads to pooling of secretions and bacterial infections.
