Pectoralis major
O- clavicular head- anterior half of medial aspect of clavicle
Sternocostal head - sternum, upper six costal cartilages, aponeurosis of external oblique
I- Lateral lip up intertubercular group of humerus
N- lateral (C5, C6, C7) and medial (C8, T1) pectoral nerves
A- adducts and medially rotates humerus
Pectoralis minor
o- ribs, 3 to 5 near costal cartilage is deep to pectoralis major
i- coracoid process of Scapula
n- medial pectoral nerve (c8, t1)
a- stabilizes Scapula against thoracic wall
Subclavius
O- rib one and costal cartilage
I- inferior surface of middle third of clavicle
N- nerve to subclavius (C5, C6)
A- anchors and depresses the clavicle
Serratus anterior
O- external surfaces of lateral parts of first through eighth ribs
I- anterior surface of the medial border of the scapula
N- long thoracic nerve (C5, C6, C8)
A- contracts and upwardly rotates scapula, hold scapula against thoracic wall
