Explain two learning theories?

A

Learning Orientation:
- People can improve their intelligence and learning by making more effort. It is a growth or incremental theory of intelligence.

Performance Orientation:
The idea that intelligence is fixed and that learning is decided by innate ability. This is a fixed or entity theory of intelligence.

What is Covey’s learning habits? What stages do they take us through?

A

Dependence -> Independence -> Interdependence

Habits 1-3 enabled individuals to move from being dependent on others to being independent and capable of running their own lives and making their own decisions. He called this “Private Victory”.

1: Be Productive
2: Begin with the end in mind
3: Put first thing first

Habits 4-7 then enabled independent people to collaborate together to become much more productive. He used the phrase “interdependence” and called this “Public Victory”.
