What are the main purposes of HIPAA?
-rules and regulations regarding transmittal and use of personal health info
-strict penalties for disclosing or accessing info improperly
What is another name for advanced directive?
Living will
What is the purpose of an advanced directive?
-set of instructions regarding healthcare if a person becomes incapacitated
-names medical power of attorney

Who is the PoA for a child? Who is the default if an adult doesn’t have one?
