why lower oxygen targets in copd

A

used to a chronic state of hypercapnia meaning that the respiratory drive is based only off of hyperaemia. If give too much oxygen they lose their hypoxic drive so reparation is compromised

why does appendix pain start periumbilical then migrate to rif

A

Visceral peritoneum has no somatic innervation so felt at the dermatome - T10
As disease progresses, parietal peritoneum becomes affected which has somatic innervation so able to be localised
