A
SOB, difficulty feeding, lower RTI, poor weight gain, murmur in more significant disease but can be asymptomatic until adulthood where there are features of HF

A
Ductus arteriosus remains open connecting pulmonary artery to aorta

A
Premature babies

When does the PDA usually close
A
Closes soon after birth

Management of PDA
A
NSAIDs (prostaglandin synthesis blocker), some will need transcatheter or surgical closure as after 1 year it is unikely it will close

When is management required for PDAs
A
Only if the baby is symptomatic
